About your dentists

Dr Deepali Mistry (BChD Leeds, UK)

Deepali, originally from Wigan, UK. Graduated from the University of Leeds, UK in 2008. She moved to Australia with her husband and fellow dentist at Lakelands Family Dental, Dr Jordan Behar 15 years ago. They have two lovely kids, two cheeky dogs and a rescue cat that thinks he’s a dog.Deepali's passions include anything arty, Hinching (if you know, you know) and of course food. She loves to bake delicious, amazing 3D sculpted cakes for her children, past wonders include Bingo (from Bluey) and a Qantas A380!You may have seen Deepali as a top 24 contestant on Masterchef Australia Season 6, 2014.Deepali is an experienced, gentle, caring and ethical dentist. She carries out all aspects of dentistry and is particularly good at making patients feel welcome, she loves a good chat!

Dr Jordan Behar (BChD Leeds, UK)

Jordan, originally from Manchester, UK, graduated from the University of Leeds, UK in 2008. He moved to Australia with his wife and fellow Lakelands Family Dental dentist Dr Deepali Mistry.Jordan loves his footy both English and AFL. He’s plays for Rockingham United FC and is also the coach for the FIAS Firecrackers.Local to the area for 15 years. Jordan previously ran a successful dental practice in Golden Bay and is well known for being an ethical, kind, caring and highly skilled dentist. Jordan carries out all aspects of dentistry in a calm and considered manner.

Dr Neilan Mistry (BDS Liverpool, UK)

Neilan graduated in 2020 from the University of Liverpool (UK), working in Wales and England before moving to WA to join his sister and brother in law Dr Deepali Mistry and Dr Jordan Behar at Lakelands Family Dental.Having graduated with a distinction in Paediatrics, Neilan is particularly great at making children’s first and subsequent visits a fun one. He loves all aspects of general dentistry but his main aim is to make every patient feel valued, listened to and treated to a high standard.Outside of work he enjoys analog photography, music, soccer (Wigan Athletic FC) and hanging out with his niece and nephew.


About your hygienist

Natasha Abel (Bachelor of Oral Health)

Growing up in the Goldfields of Western Australia, Natasha originally started working within the industry as a dental nurse. It was during this time that she discovered her love for teeth and decided to further her career.Natasha relocated to Adelaide where she pursued an Advanced Diploma of oral Health at Tafe South Australia, in which she completed in 2012.She has since settled down in Mandurah and joins the team at Lakelands Family Dental as a talented dental hygienist. With over 10 years of experience, Natasha brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice. She is committed to providing the highest standard of dental care to her patient and is passionate about oral health education as she believes that prevention is better than cure. Natasha offers in chair tooth whitening and has improved the appearance of many smiles, with a minimally invasive yet effective procedure.Outside of the practice Natasha is a busy mother of two! She enjoys the coastal lifestyle Mandurah has to offer and spends most of her time outdoors.

Cancellation Policy

Our goal is to provide quality health care to all our patients in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience our other patients as well as the providers. Please read on for full details of our cancellation policy.Appointment Cancellation:When you book your appointment, you are holding a space that is no longer available to our other patients. We do not double book appointment times; we dedicate our time and resources to one patient at a time. To be respectful to fellow patients, please call the practice as soon as you know you will not be able to attend your appointment.If cancellation is necessary, we require that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another patient access to that appointment time.How to Cancel Your Appointment:If you need to cancel your appointment, please call us at 08 6371 8949 between the hours of 9am and 5pm. If necessary, you may leave a detailed voicemail message. We will return your call to confirm cancellation and reschedule if necessary.Late Cancellations/No-Shows:A late cancellation is considered when the appointment is cancelled less than 4 hours before the appointed time. A no-show is when a patient misses an appointment without cancelling. In either case, if this becomes a repeated event, we may charge a missed appointment fee. We may also reserve the right to require pre-payment for treatment before a consequent appointment is made.For new patients’ first appointments, a no show or late cancellation will result in us limiting our availability to rebook.Late Arrival:If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to accommodate you. We completely understand that sometimes being late is outside of your control, please call the practice to let us know if you are running late, we will do our best to accommodate your treatment plan in the time remaining.Please know that cancellation fees are a last resort to ensure you and all our valued patients are provided the best of care at the least charge we can. Our front desk staff will aim to send reminder and confirmation text messages, it is appreciated that you respond to these.
